Enhanced Formation Dynamic Tester (EFDT)


EFDT is used to measure the formation pressure and to sample the undisturbed fluid of the formation. Its modularity enables it to adapt to wider geological conditions and open hole well conditions. It could provide five (5) fluids and formation characteristic parameters, including: fluid conductivity, fluid density, fluid optical spectrum analysis, fluid dynamic pressure and formation permeability anisotropy.  It could bring 4 MPST sampling barrels at one logging with conventional configuration, and could obtain high-quality PVT reservoir fluid samples that have gone through pressure compensation. Multiple PVT sampling modules (6 x 350ml) could bring 24-48 PVT sampling pipes.

Application of Instrument:

l  Identify and analyze the downhole fluid in real time

Instrument Features

l  Adopt modular design, and configure the instrument based on the formation

l  Use quartz pressure sensor with temperature compensation to measure the pressure, with faster speed and higher accuracy

l  The fluid conductivity, fluid density, fluid optical spectrum analysis, fluid dynamic pressure and formation permeability anisotropy and other fluid and formation characteristic parameters could be used in real-time reservoir evaluation.

l  The Focused Probe used could improve the efficiency by more than 50%.
