Drop back spear

Tool introduction

After enter into fish, slips of drop back spear sticks to inwall of fish under the pushing of spring. Then pull up to catch the fish tightly. While the stuck fish cannot be fish out, slacking down the string and pulling up again will release drop back spear.

Features

Applied in High-angle and Horizontal Wells for no need of rotate the string, easy to release from the fish and so can be used to try to fish.

In those wells, it is hard to meet the technology requirements to rotate the tube/D.P. string, but Drop back spear can complete fishing or releasing by pulling or landing without rotate the string.

Slip spear

Tool introduction

Slip spear is consisted of a rod and slips. The slips could slide alongside the guide way and then catch the fish from inside. COSL designed series of lengthen slip spear which can be 3 meters long to go through seal bore.

Application scope

Applied in wells varies in depth, fishing all types of tubing fish varies from 38mm to 102mm.

Features

Go through disaccord tubing or distortion fish top to catch the under string.

Could be jar for a long time and back off the fish, but hard to release.

Slot overshot with/without windows

Tool introduction

Slot overshot is used for catch tubing or rod with shoulder or groove. If there is a need of circulation to washover and cleanup the top of fish, slot overshot without windows should be used. COSL modified it for many times to apply in horizontal wells and succeeded.

Applied in wells varies in depth, fishing all types of tubing and rod.

Features

Tool bottom could be modified to different structure such as guide, washover shoe and catchall.

Applied to catch free fish with shoulders even some cables and ropes on top of it. No jarring or rotary permitted.

Off-center stabilizer

Tool introduction

Off-center stabilizer of COSL could be applied in two situations: fishing and back off. These two types of off-center stabilizer can lead the fishing tool run into the off-center fish and assure the execution of jarring and back off.

Application scope

Applied in 7"~9-5/8" casing, mainly in High-angle and Horizontal Wells in which the fish will be stay close to wellbore, and also applied in other kinds of off-center situations.
