Drill-in and Completion Fluid Systems

HTAFLOW Acidic Completion Fluid

Overview:

HTAFLOW acidic completion fluid is a combination of the completion fluid and the pickling liquid phase, the hydrogen ions being released by organic acid reactions with acid-soluble materials in the formation. It can chelate high-valent metal ions to prevent secondary precipitation. It can transform the reservoir and improve oil & gas seepage channels, which has good compatibility, low corrosion rate, and good compatibility between various working fluids and formation waters. The system has been applied on a large scale in China offshore oilfield.

Applicability:

Temperature: ~200 ℃;Density: 1.03~1.55 g/cm3;Alkali-sensitive reservoirs;Open hole completion;Perforation completion;

Characteristics:

With multiple functions of chelating, acid dissolving, and plugging removal;Low corrosion rate;High anti-swelling rate;Excellent reservoir protection.

In SZ36-1 Oilfield, Bohai Sea, China, the skin factor and oil production index of wells E1 and D5 that use cloaked acid completion fluid are compared with those of wells in Block B that do not use cloaked acid completion fluid. The results show that the average skin factor of wells E1 and D5 is 45.6% lower than that of the four wells in Block B, and the oil production index is 8% higher. Concealed acid completion fluid has been successively used in more than 2000 wells in Bohai Sea, western South China Sea, eastern South China Sea and East China Sea as perforating fluid, sand control filling fluid in well completion operations, as well as killing fluid and workover fluid in workover operations. The oilfield production results show that the invisible acid completion fluid and workover fluid have obvious effects on reservoir protection and oil well production, with an average increase of more than 10-30%.
